What a lovely pub. Took into account with ordering food as it states it can take a bit longer as cooked from scratch and I wasn’t disappointed. Worth the wait, but the wait wasn’t that long in fairness. Lovely bar staff, lovely mango cider, lovely food.

Dog friendly pub, with food served at the bar, outside or in the dog-free restaurant upstairs. Huge portions, including double cooked chips. We had a children's meal of chicken which was more than a whole breast, scampi which was excellent, a perfectly cooked steak, chicken with a Stilton sauce( incredible) and a special of Provençal mussels. We will definitely be going back as the generous portions were only matched by the amazing taste and quality of the food.

Found The Boat after being told that Peregrines were nesting on the the cliff opposite the riverside area. Very pleasant staff, good menu - slightly diminished because it had been a lovely day so everyone had descended on the place. Those of our eight-strong group who ordered fish were stunned to discover that the portions were whale-sized. I had the burger which was most enjoyable, and which went down well with the beer. As I recall, a lot of chips were left at the end as we were all full. Nobody managed dessert - but one person took away a Brownie 'for later'. Very reasonable prices. A good end to a weekend break. Really recommend it for location, food and peregrines.

Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Had a quiet lunch before the place got too busy. Steak and Guinness pie and the Crispy Halloumi were excellent. No room left for desert but will definitely return.

Visited here with my husband, the weather was sunny; so we were able to take a table outside. Food choice, service and staff was good (even though it was very busy!).
I will definitely go back.

We needed to find somewhere to sit and eat on a hot day which allowed dogs. Outside seating with sunshade and enough water bowls for each table. The food was amazing with large portions. 3 out of the 4 of us were vegetarian . Great food , good choice, great value for money. Lovely views, friendly staff and customers alike. Will visit again next time in Chepstow

Came here with my mother, grandma and her friend. We all had incredible meals. Really good vegetarian and gluten free options available. The portions were massive too. Beautiful sitting outside in the sun. Will definitely come again, thank you :)
